Information we process

A VIN identifies a vehicle. When associated with an identifiable person, account or transaction, it may also form part of personal information. Please avoid submitting unrelated personal information or documents.

A vehicle query may require the VIN and relevant vehicle details to be sent to a vehicle data provider. Report content may be processed by translation providers, and delivery may involve email and hosting providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or protect legal rights.

Our website is hosted in Hong Kong, and vehicle data services may process query information in mainland China. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence. Retention and security

Optional first-party analytics is collected only with your permission. It records page and tool visits, tool-link clicks, sign-in and query outcomes, real report views, download requests and fetch outcomes, active visible time, scroll depth, initial page-load duration, and approximate country, region and city derived from your IP using an on-server geolocation database. No GPS permission is requested, and raw IP addresses are not stored in analytics or sent to a geolocation service. Random browser identifiers remain separate from account and vehicle identifiers. Raw analytics events are retained for approximately 90 days; de-identified aggregate statistics may be kept long term without browser, session, page or event identifiers. Account information is kept for account administration; query and report records support access to results, support investigations and dispute handling; credit records support transaction reconciliation. Retention also depends on applicable legal recordkeeping duties and unresolved claims. We review deletion requests against these purposes rather than promising immediate deletion of every record.

We use access controls and other measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private and sign out when using a shared device.

Your requests and policy updates
