Sample report

DEMO-NOT-A-REAL-VIN

A VIN specification check helps identify a Chinese vehicle’s model and available factory specification data. Confirm the exact equipment on the car in person.

How to use it

  1. Enter the 17-character VIN from the vehicle, not only a seller’s screenshot.
  2. Review the matched model and specification fields in the returned report.
  3. Compare the findings with the registration documents, photos and the physical vehicle.

How to read the result

  • Start with brand, series, model and model year to check the seller’s listing.
  • Review power type, drivetrain, seating and dimensions when planning import or use.
  • Treat missing fields as unavailable information, not evidence that a feature is absent.

Data and method

The lookup uses vehicle model and specification data available through the service’s data provider. Manufacturers submit model-level technical information through Chinese regulatory processes, including MIIT filings.

A model-level filing does not by itself establish every option fitted to an individual VIN. The returned fields and their coverage depend on the matched record.

What the result cannot prove

The report describes available specification information; it does not inspect the current condition or prove that a component has never been changed.

If a trim, battery size or feature is important to your purchase, compare the physical vehicle and its documents before paying.

When to use this check

  • The seller’s advertised trim or powertrain differs from the documents.
  • You need to compare a Chinese-market model with an overseas listing before import.

Frequently asked questions

Can a VIN prove every factory option?

No. Model information can identify many specifications, but individual equipment must be checked against vehicle-specific evidence and the car itself.

What if a field is blank?

A blank field means the available record did not provide that value. Ask for documents or an on-site check for material features.

Does this check confirm vehicle condition?

No. Use mileage, accident and physical inspection checks for condition-related questions.
